Blackwattle Fair

The Mumbil Blackwattle Fair is an annual event held every January.
The main feature of the day is the famous "Chuck Akubra". This is a competition that participants literally throw an Akubra hat. The person who throws the hat the furthest wins a hat donated by Akubra.
Other activities on the day include market stalls, kids activity room, afternoon family bingo, billy kart derby, egg and spoon race, bucking ball and the jumping castle.
The night of the fair will see the popular band Blackbeat playing at the Burrendong Hotel.
